Sorbitan Trioleate is a nonionic surfactant and emulsifier produced by the esterification of sorbitol with oleic acid. With a very low HLB value, it is particularly effective in stabilizing water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions and serves as an excellent dispersing agent for hydrophobic particles and actives. Its oleophilic character makes it highly suitable for oil-rich formulations, and it is often used in combination with higher-HLB surfactants to achieve balanced emulsification.
